  Anyone reports a mistake a department made against a rule it published itself. An office that already exists checks it and sets the amount. The department pays it from its own budget. Full text.

• Drafted 29 August 2026 An independent Canadian nuclear deterrent

  The defence of Canada against nuclear attack rests on a capability a foreign government may withdraw on notice. Of 7,142 bills before Parliament since 1994, not one has proposed that Canada hold a deterrent of its own.

• Drafted 2 September 2026 Statutory Duty Compliance Act

  Fixes thirty days as the period for any statutory duty that carries none, presumes harm when the day passes, and removes the bar on enforcing the resulting judgment. Federal text in Senate bill form, with an Ontario mirror.

• Drafted 28 August 2026 Equality of the sexes in sentencing

  Removes the sex of the accused as a determinant of criminal liability and of sentence. Infanticide carries five years at most; the same act by the father is murder, and murder carries life.

• Drafted 3 September 2026 The fee as a barrier

  Ontario applied its own definition of a barrier to every time limit in the access statute and never once to the fee in the same section. The amendment copies the construction from the subsection above it.
