Re: Collapsed guardrail on the path at Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Complex, 1490 Youville Drive, 2 weeks unrepaired
Hello,
The City repaired the guardrail at the Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Complex, 1490 Youville Drive, within 3 days of my report of 24 September 2026, but has not answered that report in writing. No service request number has been sent. Councillor Laura Dudas is now copied.
A second hazard now stands on the same grounds. A pile of dumped goods has lain beside the Diabetes Canada clothing donation bin at the complex for one week: a child car seat, toys, clothing, plastic bags and loose batteries, spread across the grass and onto the sidewalk. A photograph taken on 2 October 2026 is attached. The bin is marked as owned and operated by the National Diabetes Trust.
Do the following:
1. Clear the dumped goods within 48 hours.
2. State in writing whether the bin stands on City property, under what permit or agreement, and require the operator to service it or remove it.
3. Send me the service request numbers for this report and for the guardrail report of 24 September 2026.
4. Answer in writing by 9 October 2026.If the dumped goods stand on 9 October 2026, this goes to the Ontario Ombudsman.
This exchange goes into the public record at https://dzyuban.com/legal/record/
Respectfully,
Danilo Dzyuban
